The Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation presents a public programme responding to Sender Unknown, an installation by Uzbek artist Aziza Kadyri at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) during London Design Festival 2026. The public programme will feature a suzani embroidery workshop by Yulduz Mukhiddinova and a live concert by Uzbek singer-songwriter Laylo.
Sender Unknown is a new installation by Aziza Kadyri, commissioned by the V&A. Kadyri represented Uzbekistan as the lead artist of the National Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2024 and participated in the inaugural Bukhara Biennial in 2025. Responding to the V&A’s historic suzani collection, she reimagines this textile tradition by bringing together handcraft, digital technologies and artificial intelligence. The work is presented as part of the V&A’s Jameel Programme, with further support from the Sarikhani Family.
