A meeting took place between the Uzbek delegation and the architect Tadao Ando, during which the current stages of implementing the National Museum of Uzbekistan project, whose concept was developed under his leadership were discussed.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of the building’s harmonious integration with its surrounding environment, which is one of the project’s key principles.

During the meeting, the main stages of the project’s implementation, engineering solutions, and construction timelines were reviewed. Following the discussions, the parties confirmed their readiness for continued co-operation and the consistent realisation of the project.

It is noteworthy that the proposal to establish this museum was first presented by Tadao Ando to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2019. In 2025, the Head of State laid the foundation stone for the future complex.
