From 1 to 30 September, the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice will host Homo Faber 2026 — an international exhibition of contemporary craftsmanship, organized by the Michelangelo Foundation.
The Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation will present works by three masters — Sanjar Kubaev, Shavkiddin Kamalov, and Alisher Nazirov — reflecting the continuity and contemporary development of Uzbekistan’s traditional crafts.
As part of the educational programme, Madina Kasymbaeva will lead a workshop on the art of suzani, introducing visitors to traditional embroidery techniques and the cultural practices associated with this craft.
