A meeting was held in Osaka between the Uzbek delegation, the Mayor of Nara, Gen Nakagawa, and representatives of the Nara National Museum, dedicated to preparations for a major exhibition to be held in Japan in 2027, featuring the participation of museums from Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, participants discussed the concept of the exhibition, which will bring together more than 200 objects, including unique archaeological finds from Uzbekistan, as well as key organisational aspects of the project. Particular note was made of the successful visit to Uzbekistan by a working group from the Nara National Museum, which marked an important stage in the exhibition’s preparation.
Hosting the exhibition at one of Japan’s leading museums underscores the significance of Uzbek–Japanese cooperation in the fields of culture and heritage preservation. The project is being implemented in line with the course set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to deepen bilateral cultural and humanitarian ties. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and the development of joint initiatives.
