As part of the International Jazz Festival in Tashkent, GoGo Penguin — a British trio and one of the boldest and most distinctive voices on the contemporary jazz scene — will take the stage.

The Manchester-based musicians — pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Jon Scott — seamlessly blend jazz, classical and electronic music into a unique sonic mix. At the festival, the trio will present material from their new album Necessary Fictions, where live instruments intertwine with modular synthesizers, creating dynamic compositions in the spirit of Aphex Twin and Four Tet.

We look forward to welcoming you on 7 May at 19:30 at the open-air area of the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan”.

The festival runs from 28 April to 12 May. Admission to all concerts is free.
