Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, Gayane Umerova, met with the Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), Dimitri Kerkentzes. The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation, as well as Uzbekistan’s successful participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, where the country’s National Pavilion received widespread acclaim and was awarded the Gold Award in the “Theme Development” category.
Particular attention was given to preparations for Uzbekistan’s National Pavilion at Expo 2030 Riyadh. The discussions also highlighted the role of World Expos in fostering cultural infrastructure, promoting tourism, and showcasing cultural heritage on the international stage.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Bureau International des Expositions and to continuing dialogue on the implementation of future international exhibition projects.
