As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, a panel discussion titled “Creative Industries & the Cultural Economy: An Emerging Investment Class” was held, bringing together Azizbek Mannopov, First Deputy Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, Marwan Aboudib (Tekuma), Dmitri Fediounine (ECM Group), and Otabek Suleimanov (Stihia Festival).
The discussion highlighted the key directions for advancing Uzbekistan’s creative economy, including the development of a legal and institutional framework, the establishment of creative parks, support for entrepreneurship, and the attraction of investment into the sector. Participants emphasized that culture is increasingly becoming a valuable economic asset and that Uzbekistan possesses significant potential to build a sustainable and dynamic creative economy in the region.
