Culture Days of Uzbekistan are taking place in Tokyo, during which the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation has organised an exhibition of Uzbek artistic ceramics. Held at the Tokyo National Museum, the exhibition features more than 50 works by leading master ceramists from Uzbekistan.
The exhibition programme also includes workshops led by the Rakhimov masters, who introduce visitors to the fundamentals of ceramics, traditional decorative techniques and their contemporary interpretations.
The project highlights the artistic value of Uzbek ceramics as an important element of Central Asia’s intangible cultural heritage and helps to strengthen cultural dialogue between Uzbekistan and Japan.
