In London, the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation presented a hands-on workshop in Uzbek miniature painting as part of the London Design Festival Partner Programme. Hosted at and co-organised with The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, the session was led by renowned master Kamoliddin Abdullaev.
Participants explored the history of miniature painting — from medieval book illustration to its contemporary practice — and worked with tempera and gold leaf to create their own artworks under Abdullaev’s guidance.
The workshop reflected the Foundation’s mission to preserve and share Uzbekistan’s living heritage through international cultural exchange.
