In Istanbul, Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, visited the home of Usmon Khoja — one of the leaders of the Jadid movement and a prominent statesman of Bukhara.
Professor Timur Khojaoglu, the son of Usmon Khoja, presented the family’s collection of more than 15,000 books and over 100 archival materials. A working group from the Foundation has begun cataloguing the collection in preparation for its transfer to the future Museum of Jadid Heritage in Bukhara.
During the meeting, Timur Khojaoglu shared the story of his family and spoke about valuable artifacts that will become part of the exhibition, highlighting the importance of the museum as a center for preserving and studying the Jadid legacy.
