At the Nationwide Children’s Library, the presentation of Aral School took place — a new educational programme and a true “laboratory for the future” for the Aral Sea region!
Initiated by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and first introduced at the Aral Culture Summit in Nukus, the project will bring together 20 students and graduates from Karakalpakstan, various regions of the country and abroad. With full scholarships, participants will develop innovative approaches to cultural regeneration, ecological restoration and the sustainable development of the region.
The programme was presented by Director Jan Boelen, mentors Elena Kan and Sagitjan Aitjanov, as well as Aral Culture Summit Project Director Anastasia Sinitsyna. The course will be held in Nukus from January to July 2026.
